Large events especially Weddings can be very expensive   but a village hall may not be what the Bride and Groom envisage for their most important day. However if you are concerned about the cost of your function then using our Community Centre  as your wedding venue will allow you to keep some personal control on your finances. The Hall has been equipped with supporting wires around its walls to allow for an internal marquee liner to be fitted  by a professional outside decorator. This can transform the facilities from an acceptable medium sized hall into a magnificent reception venue  capable of seating up to 80 guests.  The round tables and gold coloured chairs shown in the photograph were  hired from the marquee supplier, however the Community Centre has it's own chairs and oblong tables which are included in the cost of the hire. 


As the hall will need to be fitted with the lining you will need to book from Friday afternoon through to Sunday mid day. The hall is used  on  Monday morning  so we would ask that the hall be cleaned and the lining removed no later than Sunday lunch time.  Whilst the overall costs will depend upon your persanal choices the hire of the hall for the whole weekend should be less than £400.  Be mindful, however, of the additional  cost of the internal marquee, wedding tables and round chairs.  With regard to the catering facilities this will be your responsibility. The kitchen (please see photograph under facilities) has a good sized cooker, and has been appreciated for it's size by outside caterers.   Should you be planning live or recorded music the Centre does have a performance licence and the stage facilities are included in the hiring costs.
