There are a number of societies, clubs and organisations which use the community centre on a regular basis. If you are interested in joining any organisation it is suggested that you approach an existing member at the community centre itself; alternatively speak to the Lettings Secretary. The Main Hall is currently available every Monday evening should you be considering running a society or club yourself.
The Bures Carpet Bowls. New members are always made welcome. Played on an indoor carpet with a biased bowl everyone is made welcome. No personal equipment is required and training will be offered should you wish. There is an open offer from the carpet bowls club to any one who would like to experience a free trial. Please turn up at 7 p.m. on a Wednesday evening in the main hall.

Dance Group.
The Dance Group, which used to meet on a Tuesday afternoon, is no longer running. However there is still interest in the village and if you know of anybody who is interester in re-starting the group please speak to the Bookings Secretary or to the committe chair, Jennie McCrory.
Friday Group
Friday afternoon in the Garrad Room, the Bures Friday group meet most weeks. During the cold and wet of winter there is a lunch club run on the first and second Friday of the month. If you like home cooking and enjoy the pleasure of good company in a warm room then please make contact with Carol Barnham 01787 228417
History Society.

Horticulture Society

Women's Institute.
The Bures Women's Institute gather for their formal meeting on the second Thursday in each month in the Main Hall or sometimes in the Garrad Room. Bures Stage Society.
A growing keen group of amateurs actors putting on various plays and pantomimes on the fairly large Community stage. They are always looking for new members be you an actor or someone who wishes to support the amateur theatre. . Noah's Ark Nursery Group.
The Group meet each day of the week with a Breakfast club, Nursery and after school club. The Nursery aims to allow children from the age of 2 to develop their social and learning skills alongside friends in a happy, family style atmosphere.
